Business plan
Agnes runs a retail shop at her home in one of the rooms of her house located at Kayiringito trading centre. She buys items at wholesale price from Katosi Trading Cetre and resells them at retail price to her customers thus making profits, Agnes says her customers ask for some items which are sometimes out of stock in her shop due to little stock. With the help of the loan Agnes hopes to improve her business by bringing in more quantities of those items and also trade in other items so that she can make a one stop shop for her customers thus improving her turnover and profits as well in the long run. This will therefore increase her income in the process. She also sells food items (like fresh beans, potatoes, cassava and maize) which she harvests from her farm. Profits yielded from the business shall help her generate savings which will be used to pay school fees for her children.
Personal situation
Agnes says she is a born of Lugazi- Bukwaya, Mukono district. It is where she grew up from, studied from up to Primary Seven, dropped out of school because she got pregnant. She later got married, however her husband passed on leaving her a widow with six children.
