Business plan
Betty has a retail shop in the heart of Mawoto town. She sells domestic essential items like toilet rolls, sugar, ghee, salt, soap, etc that she buys from across the next town of Ggaba and then she later transports them to her shop on a boat. Betty purchases her items twice in a week and she complains that the transport costs are a bit inconveniencing and that’s why she wants to take out a loan such that she can buy her items in bulk and save on the weekly transport costs. Betty says that she will be able to make some profits that she will use to educate her last born child.
Personal situation
Betty was born in Nebbi district though she was not able to attain any formal education because both her parents were very poor to pay her school fees. Betty later got married and her husband brought her to Mpaata and of recent her children gave her some money to start her business.
