Business plan
Rita has a small retail shop in Mpatta and it deals in selling of essential items like spices, cooking oil, rice, sugar, salt etc and she also incorporated it with selling snacks that she makes herself. Rita says that at the moment she has little capital yet demand is high since the schools started they eat a lot of snacks and juice, she wants to take out a loan and buy wheat, baking powder, sugar, cooking oil in large quantities and be able to attract and serve more customers and thus make more profits that she will use to educate her children.
Personal situation
Rita was born in Mpatta and studied from Mugomba primary school upto primary seven but she could not continue with her education because her parents were poor. Rita started working as a maid in Kampala which she says was tiresome and she later got married and her husband gave her land which she cultivated and she got capital to start a retail shop.
