Business plan
Rose Mary sells raw foods like sweet potatoes, bananas, yams and cassava that she normally buys from other farmers around their village and at times from other surrounding villages and she later sells them across in the next village where the village market is. Rose says that her only challenge at the moment is that of food scarcity as most farmers harvested and sold their produce instantly and yet her customers need to be supplied with food on a daily basis and so those farmers who have food, sell it at a higher price and that is why she wants to take out a loan such that she can buy food in bulk and also keep her business running.
Personal situation
Rose was born in Mawoto village in Mpaata sub-county and it’s where she studied from up to her senior one and then dropped out after both her parents capsized in a boat. Rose later got married though her husband passed away in 2008 and she was left alone to carter for her 2 children. She later harvested some food crops from her garden and started selling it off so as to raise some money to raise her 2 children.
