Business plan
Alice rears 8 pigs. She owns a plantation of bananas grows maize and beans for the families welfare. Each week she harvest a minimum of 6 bunches of bananas from the farm which is used to run the families daily needs. Alice rears 3 improved pigs and 4 local ones. Feeds for improved pigs are expensive for her and sometimes she cannot feed them well, that’s why she wants a loan. Therefore the previous loans have helped her to achieve more than she had expected. This is due to the number animals she has in her farm and even educating her children so far.
Personal situation
Juliet says the only thing she understands in her life is farming because she has spent 30 years as a farmer. All her earnings are derived through it and the family owns an acre of coffee which has been in existence even before she was born. She is separated with 2 grown up boys. Juliet returned home to take care of her old parents and she says she is happy for the opportunity of a loan which she will invest in the farm to earn income to take care of her aged father.
