Business plan
Jane has a grocery stall in Mpaata town Centre just by the road side going to sugu village. Jane buys most of her groceries like tomatoes, oranges, onions, cabbages, etc. from the nearby villages of sugu, mawoto and mugomba directly from the farmers and her husband helps her transport them on their bicycle to her stall. Jane says that her major challenge is that of having rather small stock and most of her customers end up complaining since they want to buy groceries and food at the same time though she has few food items like bananas, sweet potatoes that they always ask for that is why she now wants to take out a loan and buy food items and various types of shoes that will brighten her customer’s faces and thus make her more profits that in return she will use to educate her children.
Personal situation
Jane was born in Mbarara district though she was not able to attain any formal education since her father did not see the value of educating the girl child. Jane later met someone who married her and brought her to Mpaata where they both stay with a few of their children and when her family expanded, Jane’s husband saw the need for some extra money to help out in the family needs like food and thus her husband gave her some money to start her business.
