Business plan
Mary buys food like sweet potatoes, bananas, cassava, pumpkins and yams from the farmers in the nearby villages of Nakalanda, Nakapinyi, Kawowo, etc and then transports them to Ggaba market on Monday and Luzira market on a Thursday and Saturday where she has her stalls and the other days she is always home doing her domestic chores. Mary says that at the moment food prices went up and because of that she cannot be able to purchase a lot of food since her capital is rather small yet the demand for food items is high that is why Mary wants to take out a loan and buy her food items in bulk such that she can be able to earn more profits and help her husband with school dues for their children.
Personal situation
Mary was born in Mpaata Mawooto and it’s where she studied up to her primary seven and dropped out when she got pregnant. She later started cultivating food crops while selling off the surplus hence the start of her business.
