Business plan
Olivia has 1.5 acres of land that she cultivates, she says it’s a big piece of land and she cannot cultivate it alone since she also has to attend to her snacks selling business at the same time and that is why she wants to take out a loan such that she can hire temporary laborers to help out in the weeding because the rainy season has started and so the weeds grow faster than usual and she cannot weed them on her own. Olivia says this will help her maize to grow very well without competing for resources with the weeds and therefore yield good quality maize that she will earn from and later use her profits to educate her children.
Personal situation
Olivia says her parent did their best to pay for her education though after her senior four, she was not able to continue with school since it was quite expensive for her parents thus she had to drop out. She later got married and the husband provided her with land to cultivate their domestic food though she later decided to cultivate more such that she can sell it off hence that is how she began her business.
