Personal situation
Mariam Namatovu narrates that she studied and dropped out of school in Primary seven in 1983 due to the fact that the war which sparked off in Luweero district where she was staying with her parents, interfered with her education. So in the year 1984 she got married since she never had anything to do and started producing children while farming and in 1989 she started selling coffee in basins and cups which later facilitated her to buy a weighing scale and the business expanded and other non coffee seasons she could do farming so out of her profits, she managed to buy a bicycle , a tailoring machine which she rented out up to date, and one cow which has produced and currently she has 8 cows but she has been selling off grown ones. Now the business that she is doing is farming and rearing of animals as well as coffee selling.
