Betty runs a local brew business at her home in Kisugulu village in the trading centre. She buys millet and cassava flour from Lugazi market transports it to kisugulu .She mixes the cassava and millet flour with water ferments it for 4 days, fries the mixer and then soaks it in water and also adds ingredients after three days then it's ready for consumption. She sells the brew to some bars around Kisugulu and the rest is consumed by the clients at her small drinking joint in her compound. She asks for a loan so that, she can buy more ingredients for making more local brew. She believes that, this local brew business can grow and in the future help her provide basic needs for the family.
Betty a mother of one, was born in Ssi but did not get a chance to school because the parents did not believe in a girl child education. Years later she got married and moved to Kisugula village where she started a Restaurant and making locally made beer at her home.
